Both...

Open presents with parents and relatives Christmas eve at my parents house. Santa Claus for the kids Christmas morning at our house.

both for me also. my and the girlfriend exchanged gifts on christmas eve cause we had to go to her parents, my moms and her side of the family, and my dads on christmas day. too busy for the two of us to spend time together.

When I was a kid, we got to open one small gift on Christmas Eve... nothing major though. It was fun and gave us a little taste of what was to come on Christmas morning.

Thats exactly how my family always does it.
