People wonder why their kids don't listen, if I got in trouble at school they would bust your a$$ and then when you got home my dad did it again. I bust my sons butt if its deserved. Our society doesn't disipline our kids so they have none. They say put them in time out or talk to them sometimes alittle more than talk is needed. imo.
Bingo.. Our choices have results, sometimes not pleasant, but often as a result of our actions. I'm not saying whoop the crap outta your kid, but a good firm understanding that an adult will not take your **** under any circumstance is needed. The world isn't gonna throw my kids any favors and if they're gonna make it, they gotta do it through hard work and values. My job isn't to be their best buddy or freind, but to provide for them and raise them, keep them straight and outta trouble and to have respect for all things. Now, ideally, i could be their best buddy, but you gotta do your job as a parent and sometimes that doesn't win any popularity contests. If I found out some F'd up school was putting my kid in some sock, I'd kick their *** up over their ears. What the hell did we do 40-50 years ago???? Where has common sense gone?

our youth is going to be what causes the end of the world. i blame it mostly on MTV, reality TV, and most of all bad parenting. most people dont want to raise their kids anymore. they expect public schools and television to do it for them.

+1 on the above post about no dodgeball, cowboys and indians, etc. that is just plain rediculous. if jr. cant make it through a game of dodgeball he is going to have one hell of a time when he has to deal w/ real problems.

Body sock are you fking joking? I bet you your CBR that not to far in the future that some kid who gets beat at home, picked on at school by teachers and classmates is going to think about how he could retaliate. This kid is going to bring a knife to school and then cut his way out of the sock and go ballistic on the class. In other words, a Body Sock is like poking a caged hungry pitbull with a stick. It's only a matter of time before a kid dies of asphyxia or goes out with a bang.

In your scenario, the body sock is not the problem....it's lazy a**hole parents who arent dedicated to the child. They would rather let
their child grow up and not inconvience the parent, rather than to take the time to raise the child, show them love, and teach them how to deal with
life, and the consequences that go along with not doing what your supposed to do.

by your reasoning, you should never put a kind in the corner, swat his but, take his toys away, because he will just get mad
and do something worse...........

DDVS,
I am not exactly what your problem is...

I was not stating that you are one of those parents, but that is typically what leads kids
to do that stuff....it is a fact -not an opinion

are you one of those type of people?---must be by that unwarrented reaction...
