Default Cheerfull neighbourhood

Went for a walk with my new pup (14 weeks old) up to the local park, as usual, when someone walkes past I would say hello, just to be friendly like.
Anyway the guy (bout 40ish) crosses over the road toward me, looking at me, and I say " G'day, Hows it going?" (standard S'trailian).
And he says, "Why don't I get F$&*(%d" & " None of your effin Business" nice eh, put it down to Drug guy but had not enough drugs. He was heading in the direction of the local "Clinic".
1st time I have encountered this type of ******, as everyone else I've ever passed seemed friendly. Anyone else met this sort of response?

sounds like he needed his methodone fix- you should wait for him outside the clinic after he has had his fix. when and if he says hi to you, just go off on him.

So you said nice day, and he said none of your business? What a tool.

reminds me of that one movie, damn i dont remember what it was. Military movie, guy says hi to general every morning and the guy goes off on him,

'Nice day today'

'I know what kind of god damn day it is!'

lol

You know, I hate when you get a person like that. Many times I'll keep thinking about a negative encounter and it gets me more and more pissed the more I think about it. Pretty soon I realize it is taking up a lot of my time when the guy probably hasn't given me a second thought. I haven't had that exact experience, but I get my share being a contruction sight salesman. Mess up once, and you get cursed up one side and down the other!

rrasco - You're thinking of the movie 'We Were Soldiers' with Sam Elliott as the gruff Sergeant with snappy comments.

It bothers me when people respond to a "How you doing?" with a "Hello."

My office mates do this and it just proves they didnt listen to a word i just said to them.
