Here is the thing. I like the logo, and think that it looks great as a decal. However, I am hesitant to use it as the header logo, as the font used is distinctly the "CBR Font", and if we have that in the header, the good people at Honda may send me a cease and desist notice, and they could make real trouble for the forum. honda is a great company and they are VERY easy to work with, so I wouldnt forsee that happening, but I would rather not tempt fate. they allow us to use their trademarked name in the forum name, and while I dont see any problem with having that logo for the shirts and/or decals, but I think that it would be best if we didnt have something trademarked in the header. Plus, with you guys and girls making shirts and decals, they cant tell me to stop, because im not the one making them.

In short, I love the logo, but I would rather take a few steps to not **** off Honda...[8D]

 

Very wellwritten Patrick... I was honestly thinking along those lines also. I deal with proprietary, trademarkedand confidential information and this could be close to "crossing the line" if it was used.
However, in regards to the "if you guys make it and sell it, there's nothing Honda can do to me" attitude - are you sure? Isn't condoning their production and sales enough to make the Forum "guilty" of trademark violation? I don't know. I amfar froman expert on this stuff. Just playing devil's advocate. Trying to stir some thoughts...

I like the decal... but I think we need to do something about changing that font,not the overall design.Change itjust a bit... so it's not identical to what is on our bikes.
