This seems a really good idea but I have no idea how to start it, can someone get the ball rolling? Perhaps who is going and from where as this might encourage others to join in or meet up on route.

Looking forward to the 16th!

Good shout Shakey.
1st thread updated with names confirmed so far.
I'll keep that going until we ride.
I've just bought myself a scala head-set today so I can take calls on the move. I can also get my ears nagged off from behind for going too fast. Oh well, It's better than that sharp kitchen knife she normally uses.

Its sad to say 8 out of 175 can commit to this weekend rideout. Hopefully more will join in before the 16th!
HenryM & Leon 1984 - how about meeting at junc 8 of M1 (A414) there appears to be 2 fuel stations here. From there we can decide M 0r A roads. Just a suggestion thats seems to be in the middle for all.
Anybody got a time in mind?

Hi Greg,
I'm not sure that this is 'properly' organised in the true sense of the word. It's more of a makeing something out of nothing kind of affair but it would be great if you could join us. I think you'd probably qualify for the most miles to get there trophy coming from Arbroath. Now that's a trip.
Anyway, there's 8 confirmed. You gonna make 9?

Sounds like a plan Rick but we could probably meet up sooner than that if you like.
I like the back road idea too. Much more interesting. Let's work on it.

Default possible route

hope this works - you should see a map with a possible route if yo uclick on the link. Here goes. just a suggestion and I am open to better ideas.
Anybody thought about where to stay yet? Are we going local hotel or national chain?

Bing Maps - driving and transit directions, routes, traffic conditions
