Shakey is definately up for this .... I've done the trip to the National Motorcycle Museum on my 23 year old CBR1kF-j twice last year from Ooop Norf and it ran like a dream It just eats those miles up for fun!

Had a quick chat with the museum today on the blower .... they have over 800 parking spaces available, so shouldn't be an issue at any time. If we can get a large enough guaranteed number attending, they would even section off a special area so we can all park up together.

The museum is simply amazing if your into old bikes and motorcycle history and the cafe does superb breakfasts for hungry travellers.

I'm in! .... Can't wait!

Link to the museum for anyone who fancys a look....

It's right next door to the NEC

All sounds great guys .... om jealous again !!...
I'll second that Steve.
Z, 200 miles will do nothing except put a big ole' grin on ya Phisog.
Check water, tyres, oil, lube the chain, clean her up a bit and jump aboard.

Shakey,
thanks for the research, contact with the museum and link to their site. I've never been so it would be of real interest for me and no doubt everyone else that decides to come along.
I'm thinking a few PM's to some of our UK members might help kindle some more responses.
I must see if Hawkwind is up for it.
I'll start pencilling in some dates for consideration, sooner rather than later.

Beer only I'm afraid. That means we have to find a hotel to trash too.
Somewhere not more than a sweet , twisty jaunt away from the museum.
Now come damn it! No know you wanna!

How about Saturday 16th April. This seems a pretty neutral weekend.
Throw in your hats/keys/excuses.
