CBR XX Black Bird ???
My daily driver is a '98 XX. What can I say, I love it. With heated grips, a outlet for a heated visor, and a double bubble screen I ride it to work rain or shine, in 30C+ and down below freezing until the snow flies. It's not flickable like a supersport piddler, but it's a lot more agile than the similar size Katana 750 I have.
It's very stable, very poised, very forgiving, the power is deceptive and the speed is effortless. With stock gearing, 4000 rpm in 6th gives you a nice 120 kph cruising speed, and you don't have to downshift to pass someone since the Bird makes as much torque at 3000 rpm as an 1100cc v-twin cruiser. If you do rev it hard through the gears you'd better have plenty of road, because by the time you approach redline in 2nd you're doing around 150
A lot of bikes are faster nowadays, but you'll be hard pressed to find one that does as many things as well as the Bird. It's a perfect mix of sport and comfort, turbine smooth engine, Honda reliability and superb fit and finish.
Oh, and there's a red, low-mileage Blackbird turbo with 240 rwhp on ebay right now for $5000. Somebody else buy it before I trade a kidney or something for it
