Can't decide...
*edit: had to do this in two posts since it wouldn't let me post it all in one (forum problems ftl)
Okay, long story short:
A few months ago, I decided that rather than convert my automatic civic to a manual, I might as well get a manual car and sell the civic. After about a month, I decided that I might as well go with rwd, since... well, it's just better than fwd. Anyway, for a month or two, I looked for a Nissan 240sx for under $1k, then I was planning on dropping in a $2k sr20det motor. Well, I eventually gave up on a 240 and settled on my mustang.
Well, sure enough, I've been finding good deals on 240's ever since I bought the 'stang... but this one... well, I'm not sure I can pass it up. $600 for a running car that needs $130 worth of work to be street-worthy. Not to mention I checked the stimulus check schedules and my check should have been sent out the 20th, meaning it'll be here any day.

But here's the problem (damn, I am getting more mature... this kind of sucks): I'm not sure it's a wise decision financially. I'm going to be going to wyotech this fall, so I'm not sure I should buy another car right before going to school (I'm still trying to get rid of the civic). But the thing is, I have enough money in my bank account right now to take care of car and bike insurance, along with food... and part of me is saying I can just take out another $3k in school loans to pay for housing... but like I said, I'm not 100% sure it's a good idea (especially since I'm already paying insurance on two cars and a bike). But if I did buy it, I'd be buying it, getting it running, taking the insurance off, and keeping it under a cover most of the month (taking it out once or twice a month to keep the engine from getting too f**ked).
What would you guys do? I'm kind of leaning towards buying it since it's an s13 hatch (exactly what I want) without the dreaded drift tax (if you don't know what that is, it's people thinking their stock 240 with 200k miles is worth $5k ever since the drift fad started), and those things are rare these days.
