Ive bought parts from other members here in the past and never had any issues. that doesnt mean you wont, but using paypal is about the safest way you can send money.

If the person doesnt send the parts, let paypal know and they can get your money back to you from his account, as long as he hasnt closed it out. Most people who have a paypal account want to keep it, so even he takes all of his money out of his paypal account, the minute he puts any into it, or anyone sends him money, it wll be secured and sent to your account.

I would be careful though of members that only have a few posts. There are people who just drop into these forums for nothing more than to make a quick buck. If the member has a post count that is more than a few, and has been a member for awhile, you should be ok.

User has 79 posts and been a member since 6-22-2008. Seem okay? It's my first time buying anything over forums so of course I'm a bit worried.

I dont blame ya for being worried at all. I was too, but the guy I dealt with (extreme954) sent me the parts first so I could look them over, then I sent the money paypal. I'm sure most people arent as trusting, but there are still some good honest people out there. The transaction was really good. and I would buy from him again with no hesitation.

the member seems like he should be ok. I was just warning of posters that are only here to scam people. they usually only have a few posts. Im not saying just because someone has a higher post count means they are an honest person, but it rules out the scammer side of it.

There is a section in the selling section that rates a seller. there arent very many post in there right now, but I'd check it just to make sure the guy your buying from isnt one of the bad ones.
