Default buffing out headlight scratch

I have a couple of minor scratches on my headlight lense cause some dumb person decided to hit my bike/knock it over a few weeks ago [:@]. Anyone have some tips for getting out the scratches short of buying a new lense?

They don't appear to be very deep, would really fine grit sandpaper work to at least make it less noticeable?

Thanks in advance!

What about that eye glass stuff that you wipe on and it fills the scratches? Ive only seen it on tv. But if it really works you could try that.

There's a plastic polish made by Autosol - put a soft buff in a drill and spread polish on the lens. low speed on the drill, and even on glass, watch the scratches reduce. I've done it on glass and plastic lenses, screens etc - works fine, just not too much speed on the drill or you'll burn it if it's plastic. If glass, no problem, run at any sensible speed.
If Autosol isn't strong enough, and it's glass, use Brasso.........

I got this three part fiberglass polish for mine because some D bag decided to paint half of the headlight black. I had to scrap it of with a razor and then buff out the scratches. sorry to hijack but has anyone ever seen the bottom half of the headlight painted black on an F4i??? It is so stupid I just want to punch that guy in the face. Why would you do that he said it made it look cooler I figured it was all scratched underneath the real thin that pisses me off is it was fine under the paint!!!
