What's up guys, my name is Larry Gomez.I just wanted to take a few minutes to write this thread and ask the gentlemen of cbrforums for their help. On April 24, 2008 my girlfriend lost her mother to breast cancer. And In her last days I had the privilege of being by her bedside to spend time with her. We talked, cried, and even laughed. It was there that she lay when I made her some promises. And in one of those promises I have taken on an incredible challenge. On November 21-23, my girlfriend and I will be walking 60 miles over the course of three days, camping out at night with thousands of other women and men taking this journey with us. It's for an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Every advancement in breast cancer research, treatment, education and prevention in the last 25 years has been touched by a Komen for the Cure grant. They are working hard to build a future without breast cancer, and we plan on raising $5200 to help bring us closer to that goal.Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will continue to be diagnosed with breast cancer.
