I'm of the get-it-asap camp, regardless of situation. Having had a bad experience in the past w/ buying a 4x4 & not being able to pick it up til a few days later, the seller took it out for one last hoorah w/o my permission. :\

Good luck.

How far is it to pick up the bike? Take the side roads and go slow and the wet is not much different than the dry. Gotta pop that thangs rain cherry eventually so when ever it is will be the "first" time in the rain on that bike.

You're talkin' about the bike, right??

Yeah, I can't remember how far you said it was, either, kuro....
I picked up my Kawi in a downpour, brand new. It was like 85miles, though.... not too bad.
Just remember your rain gear. (I didn't and had a good case of the shakes by the time I got home... lol)

Welp I went the safe route: U-Haul 10' box truck with 8 tie downs and a stolen U-Haul ramp (amazing what you find hiding in the back of your apartment building). Prolly the slowest I've ever driven down I95.

For the most part, I'm glad I didn't drive her home tonight. The quick test ride in the seller's cul-de-sac didn't make me appreciate the difference between the F3 and the F4i. Or maybe I was nervouse as chit since she was all mine now. But just getting her up the ramp, she wanted to pull thru the cargo area and park in the cab And she makes my F3 feel like a candidate for Atkins

Seriously tho, it's back to basics for me. Already went searching for my cans of tennis ***** and checking the Phillies home schedule for when the stadium parking lot will be open. She's beautiful, nearly completely immaculate (except for a tiny scratch from a passenger) and I want to keep her that way. Worth the $100 to bring her home without adding a scratch. Right now she's locked behind the driveway's ****** wire fence and she's chained, frame to frame, to my F3

Oh and her name is "Ororo". And I'll have some pics after work tomorrow, hopefully after I have a chance to wash and wax the dust off of her (seriously, there's dust on her from sitting so long)

Heh well I got this one in near immaculate condition. I'm gonna keep it that way for as long as possible. One good thing is the PO had frame sliders installed already
