Man I wish I were prepared to meet you at the beginning, my Buddy did that Route and had a blast. He said there are Camp-sites all along the Rt., places to stop for breakfast and sh-t, all with the Motorcyclist in mind.
He didn't say anything about what he should have brought or anything, don't think you need to worry about too much.
Enjoy!

I would suggest possibly stopping by the D-Day memorial, its only a little ways off the parkway in Bedford. Other than that I can say that the restaurant at the peaks of otter has some good blackberry cobbler... heres a picture from my ride on the parkway today. This is opposite of the Peaks of Otter. I love being close to the parkway.

Just a little tip, take it for what you want. but watch your speed on the parkway, they have been patroling it pretty hard the last couple of weeks and i am not sure what is going on. I do agree with rellimdekim the Peeks are awesome but you have to watch for heavy fog and with all the rain we have been having make sure you bring rain gear. Its a beautiful ride just watch yourself.

Summer's here and the bikers are out in force! I'm guessing they're trying to lay down the law early to set the tone for the year.

Have a great trip man, sounds like a blast!
