Put another 100 rounds thru her today. Had 1 jam and on the last 2 mags, it didnt lock open when empty. But apparently my performance was worthy of derison from my friends.

44 rounds in this target

4 out of the last 6 rounds in the X-ring

Brand new gun not yet broken in, not seriously shooting for 10 years, stepping up in caliber and a .40 cal with a 3.5" barrel? Even the rangemaster said they need to stfu The last 6 I was practicing double taps

Cool.

Some scoff at the small barrels but they can be much more accurate then alot imagine.

That little .45 I posted as well as another little 357 mag I have , both with barrels in the 2/3 inch range , I can tear the center out of a half dollar all day long at 15-20 yards. It's not so much the barrel length , its the shorter sight picture that makes it challenging. The gun itself is just fine.

I use targets similar to these that I print out myself...

And I keep groups under 5 rounds at each bull so you don't have as much thru shots , you can see every hit.

But it looks good so far. Glad you like yours.

I don't know if you care or not but here's the link....

Rifle & Pistol Targets

All printable PDFs. I hate spending money on pre-printed targets that go in the trash 5 mins after I'm done.

I love the damn thing Apparently so do a lot of others. The guys working at the range were all surprised a bit when I opened the case. Went to a different range than where I bought it. They hadn't seen the 800 series yet nor the compact. And they were very impressed by its performance knowing I was basically back to being a noob with a brand new gun.

To shoot like that under those circumstances they said the gun had to shoot very well. My only complaint is my left hand tends to slip when using the standard mag. The extended mag gives a more secure grip

Believe it or not sometimes it actually helps being a noob or shooting a new gun.

Your suprised when it actually fires.... which is a good thing and hard for some to replicate with repitition.

Polymer grips can be slick and harsh. You may want to try a simple rubber slip on if it persists.

Its basically just a big rubber band, relatively cheap and easy.
