The Cycle Cat stands actually look really good...even a 14 year old girl can use 'em!

Anyone who says PitBull is better than a Cycle Cat has never used a Cycle Cat. The Cycle Cat UCS1 was designed to be used by one person safely with no risk of droping the bike. The UCS2 was designed to be the easiest front stand on the market to use requiring th eleast amount of effort and strength. I have seen men struggle with the other products and use the Cycle Cat product with ease. Besides, Cycle Cat and OnCycles sponsor the board and I obviously work for both.

I kinda agree with you and kinda disagree. Pit-Bull is not "better" than Cycle Cat but Cycle Cat isn't better than pit-bull
they are made for two totally different types of riders, which is EXTREMELY obvious by looking at each website
Pit Bull stands are designed for racers, while Cycle Cat is obviously designed for street riders
the Pit-Bull is a much better stand for me. Neither of my bikes that use stands all the time have kickstands so for me the cycle cat would be a waste of money

anyway the cycle cat looks like a good product but I still wouldn't use the word "better" when comparing the two

I don't have any problem getting my bike up and down on the pitbull with just one person.

edit: plus after googling the cyclecat ucs1 or whatever, I'm not paying $225 for a damn rear stand.

i say people who have the tendency for operator error should go with pitbull or cycle cat or other 'safer' stands.

those who have no troubles with those type of mishaps should go with handy stands...full set, relatively cheap when on sale...

takes like 5 seconds MAX to put my bike on it and it's plenty stable...will definitely withstand a 5.0 earthquake...at least through the primary and secondary waves and likely the raleigh waves, but not the love waves.

do we even want to know why your bike is experiencing "love waves" while up on stands???

Woodyracing has a point. If you do not have a sidestand on your bike the UCS1 is not for you unless you order the race version which functions like a standard rearstand but has a detachable handle so it will take up less space and not be a trip hazard. This is important in tight garages or pits.
A lot of people don't have a problem getting a bike on a stand by themselves but it only takes a split second and you are buying body work which will be far more than the difference in price between the UCS1 and the Pit. We have a bunch of service departments using UCS1s because even the pros can toss a bike over when they are in a hurry. I also don't worry about my girlfriend coming home, putting her bike on her stand and losing it and taking out my bikes in the process. I also don't worry about her, the kid or my beer drinling friends tripping on the handle and taking out the whole row of bikes.
If you couple all that with the special offer we are running on the catalog it is a pretty good deal. You get free shipping, a $15 credit and a one year subscription to therr bike mage and our catalog. You can see the catalog deal by clicking the banner to your right that says "Click Here" under featured vendors.

I like my vortex stands. They are way more stable than the cheap crappy Lockheart Philips one that I bought. I wanted to punch the guy in the face that told me it was the best stand you can get. Anyway I have not tried the front triple yet it's still sitting in the basement. I have to put some pin in it then tomorrow I'm going to put it up in the garage on rear and front. =( Tomorrow will be a sad sad day.

I have to agree with tahoe, i have a set of handy universal stands, didnt cost me an arm and leg to purchase and they work just fine. Its a little hard to get the front stand on the forks at first but once you practice a little bit it goes on easy. My friend has pitbull stands and yeah there nice, dont get me wrong there, but at that price your just paying for the name. But you might be able to put the pitbull stands on 7/10 of second faster than you would with anything else, so if your time is just to valuable i would most definatly go with pitbull.

I love my UCS1 rear stand.
Problem is, I'll have to go with a Pit Bull front stand. Cycle Cat doesn't offer a universal front stand that lifts from the triple. If they did, I order one for sure!

I have a Concepts in Alumium rear stand. I love it very light weight. It is made out of box alumium and hand TIG welded. It can be used with spools or without.
