2006 kawi 650 ninja, bat charged,no gas vale acts like its gonna start like its out of gas but has gas
so ALL he did was remove the stock pipe, put it back on, and it won't start? forgive me for asking, but it sounds to me like something else had to have been removed for something like this to happen. i don't have a lot of knowledge on the Ninja, but perhaps you or your friend might post some questions on a Kawasaki owner's forum? i'm sure guys who own the same type of bike might be able to help because they've probably run into similar problems. i found a good forum a while back when i was asking around about the Z1000 but i've lost the link. tell your friend to retrace his steps, everything he did when he removed the pipe, and i'm sure he'll find something small (and seemingly insignificant) that might be causing this. sounds to me like a problem with the fuel pump. i'm not sure about the Ninja, but i can hear the pump on my 929 turn on when i turn the ignition on. most cars with electric fuel pumps do this too to prime the line, to make sure there's fuel in there to start the engine, so tell him to check out the fuel pump first.
