I think most of us are looking at this the wrong way. A car that runs 10's is not likely to beat even a 600 in a street race. I know that if I were racing a car (wouldn't do it on the street) as soon as I got to 50-60 mph, and I was a few lenths ahead I would just let off and shake my head at theguy at the next light. Most cars either don't have the traction or just plain don't have the power to beat a bike in the common light to light street race.

This past fall me and my buddy with the 03 636 was on our way out to PA and a newer turbo VW Bug rolled up on us. I did not try to race him, but my buddy did and that car was pulling on him. His bike has Two brothers exhaust and 3 up in the rear. It's a super light and fast bike and he's only 115 lbs so it's a light package.

.Traction can be a issue but thats why it runs 315/35/17 drag radials all the time,regular tires are like driving on ice.From a dig,a bike will get the jump(but ive never raced a bike from a dig),but from a 60+ roll the bike better be 750cc up if it wants to stand a chance(race quite a few rolling)..

ran a 05 600 RR 2 days ago from a dig in my Camaro. It was a whole 35 degrees out and traction sucked, he got a car length on me outa the hole, by 80 we were even and by 125 it was over. Now i also own a 954 and i know my bike is a lil faster then the camaro (yet 
) but i also have a blown 78 trans am (that is very street legal) that OWNZ my 54 in the 1/4 mile. Although i do know what you mean AAnderson, most guys dont really get how fast these bikes are.
Here let me break it down for ya real easy like.
