"Street legal" doesn't constitute stock. Our bikes are street legal and are they all stock? I think not. There are tons of cars that are modified that will put our bikes to shame. Just because you have not seen them does not mean they do not exist. As mentioned, there are supras, stangs, evos, etc that are suped up beyond belief. If you have an MKIV supra, you can purchase a stage 8 kit for around $30K which will take it to 1325HP. Yeah its more money, but that is not the topic on debate. Cars have a better advantage on a rolling start because bikes typically are faster because of acceleration, not top speed. If both vehicles already have momentum, the car can prevail much easier.

My friend (a skilled rider on a 1000RR) has a best time of 9.93 and consistantly runs in the lower 10's. I have only tried a few times and my best time is 10.68 (which a lot of people on this forum can beat). Ther are VERY few cars that I have seen that can run in the 10's and still ride on the street, but they do exist

I know what you are saying though- I had a guy pull up next to me in a stock-looking Mustang Cobra and reving the engine while we were at a red light. light turned green and I pulled away quickly- hit 60 and slowed down. It was just enough to let him know that his car can not beat a bike off the line (foolish kid!)

This guy would give us all a run for the money with a time in the 10's:

I went to Pinks this weekend and saw plenty of cars that were street legal dropping sub 10s. One of the last cars was actually a street car, he mentioned it when he said it had a 20 gal tank in it still. Chevy Nova running 10s flat. And there were many more much faster ones.

a buddy of mine has a '06 GTO currently putting down 465rwhp and his last run was a 11.001 (drag radials, supercharger, automatic.....ect lol). he is going to have to get a roll cage and a fire suit b/c he's about to run methanol and get his car into the 10's. his car is street legal and for a while was his daily driver. granted i only have a 600cc bike, but i too get all the dumbass highschool kids trying to race me in theirintegras and civics. i will tell you this, i guarentee my friends GTO will pull away from my 600cc F4i. we go back and forth debating it all the time, he swears i'd beat him, but i think he gives my bike a little more credit than i do. i know a 600 isnt THAT powerful. and im certain that from a roll he'd walk away from me. his car is heavy as hell though.

I can name several street legal cars that (completely 100% stock) will beat any bike on the road at any race... now the odds of you running into either are completely slim, but either way... the technology is very much there.

Bugatti Veyron -- Quarter Mile in 9.8 seconds... Top Speed 253 MPH (governed)

Koenigsegg CCX -- Quarter Mile in 9.9 Seconds -- Top Speed 245 MPH.

Ultimate Aero SSC-- Quarter Mile in 9.9 Seconds--- Top Speed 275 MPH (theoretical)

Check out pumpgas drags run by Hotrod magazine and you'll see 8 sec street legal cars.

But bikes still > cars anyday.

Who cares how fast, quick, or how much power anything makes. Riding is more fun than driving. Fun is all that matters in my book.

As far as all those chumps running their mouths about how their car can beat your bike... start hustlin them! Free Money!!!

most people who have cars that will beat a bike, arent the ones talkin sh*t to us, its the jokers who THINK they have a fast car that are always trying to race. i have a guy who has been buggin me for a year to race his 300zx on my F4i, his car runs low 13's and he thinks he will dominate me. people like that i just dont give the satisfaction of racing, mostly just to spite them. if a car tries to rev or race at a light i usually just give them the thumbs down and drive off normally.....unless there is a sexy chick in the car and i feel the need to embarass the driver
