Rider got what was coming to him. Don't run from the police kiddos, as you can see motorcycle can't make u be able dodge police cars.

seriously wtf cop. whether the biker commited a crime is between him and the law, but the cop that hit the bike could have killed two people. a simple traffic violation by no means is justified by attempted murder.

Potentially lethal to others: the definition of running from the police and why they will stop you.

You run... you pay. He got what was coming to him. Chica was an innocent victim of the person in control of the bike. Her injuries are a direct result of him running. His injuries are a direct result of running. If he would have pulled over and been cooperative, he may have been able to ride his bike home with a police escort or have it towed. He chose to run.

yea the guy was wrong, but I still say FTP anyways. I hear about cops good this and cops good that, and yeah, there are a few (mostly those that ride) that have a level head, but for the most part i hate and have no respect for the cops anyways. When I see stuff like this or the myriad of taze vids that keep popping up it just fires me up more.

Agreed the biker should not have ran and he put is passenger in danger, but that cop ment to hit the bike, hands down. The sad thing is the pasenger got the bum end of that deal. I feel the cop should have been fired for hitting that bike like that.

+1 but hitting a bike WITH a passenger, not so much the biker. Even if the driver was guilty of murder, the passenger was innocent. The Cop should be fired for knowingly and willfully hurting the passenger and the biker should go to jail for running and endagering the passenger by driving so wreckless on wet roads.

I guess the best thing to do is not run, obviously. Especially with a passenger. I have heard countless stories of people running from the law and not one person I have heard a story from has had an outcome like this. Me, I just pull over, get my lecture and go on with my day. I have heard the cops brag about being able to hit bikes while in pursuit. Then they go on and explain how stopping a bike is the result of some "fantastic police drivin" when actually it is a matter of it is a cops last resortin attempting to control a situation they have no control in. That is the mentality behind that, control.(O, and safety for the public if it makes you feel better)It makes no difference to me what you doon your bike, I know what is right/wrong or smart/stupid. What does get megoingis the fact that what one dikhead on a bike does reflects the rest of thebike community.Pretty much labels people on sportbikes as squidsor something along those lines.

Good thing they had on their helmets!

that was f-up, the bike was wrong to run with a passenger. but like txmorgan said the only cops that are good to riders are the ones who ride and especially in texas, i had a couple of runns with the cops...
1st occasion... i just gotten my bike inspected and just put in a new fender eliminator i was on my way to the shop to put a metal to put the sticker on. so then im coming on to this trooper in front of him and he decides to low down for whatever reason and im not speeding so i pass him and he gets behind me and swears left to right and turns one his lights so i pull over and got a ticket for not having a inspection sticker oh and i showed it to him that i had it and that i was on the way to put it on with the receipt not but 20 mins old, so i got a ticket and had to get another sticker
2nd occasion... i just gotten out of class and when by my gf work an we decided to go eat and my helmet dosent fit her so i put it on so we are coming back and im behind a university cop and we pull to a red light and im behind him so he turns on his lights and hes out of his car asks me if i can pull into the parking lot, so i do and he pulls next to me and starts to lecture me on why is my passenger is not wearing a helmet and tell me that cop are cracking on riders for whatever reason, didnt get a ticket just had a conversation on what he rides and how long he's been riding and his accidents

so yeah cops that ride whatchout for us but other we are just a target and despise us cause we aren't driving a cage or cause they just sterotype us so in MY OPINION i say FU@$ the cops when you get a chance

Some of my buddies were out riding earlier the year (before I had a bike), when one of them busts out a wheelie on a straight stretch of a back road. Well this Cavalier coming the other way swerves and tries to hit the dude riding the wheelie, and in the process runs another friend (who's not riding a wheelie) over the white line onto the berm. My friend stops, turns around and starts following the car, which immediately pulls over.

And out steps an off-dutycop in uniform from my beloved small town of Owensville. He say's "that's right m/f-er. I don't think you want to mess with me anymore do you?"

Now I can understand the stupidity of my friend pulling the front wheel up with traffic coming, but for the copto endanger not only his life but the life of someone following the law? I have NO RESPECT for these cops, and that translates into little respect for sheriffs either. Typically though, I've found State Troopers to be very respectful and never on a power trip.

Bike + cop car = Entrapment, lying authority figures, and attempted murder.

Now, I agree that the kid on the bike shouldn't have run, especially with a passenger, but there's no excuse for what thesecond cop did. I don't see any excuse for what the first cop did either, especially since there was no infraction at the time he turned on his lights about halfway thru the initial turn. Hell, the kid on the bike even used his turn signal. Just goes to show you what d*cks cops are - you can't even trust them anymore. Yet aftertheir suspensions, they will return to work, be given backtheir badges and gunsand set back out to "protect and serve" - all the while in that "good ol' boy network" quietly getting thumbs up from other officers (except for maybe the ones who ride motorcycles)who wish they could've done the same thing.

I'm not against authority, just against people who abuse it - and I've dealt with that type of'network' before.

See them trying to hide the evidence that they were lying andresponsible? "The city fought the release of the videos but was ordered to release them Nov. 30 by the Texas attorney general’s office."

Put those cops in jail where they belong.

Hope the kids are ok.

Maybe we should start a pool to help hispassenger recoverand getthat kid'sbike fixed.
