He's married. He cant "hang out" any more. 99% of his attention goes to his wife and 1% goes to his grooming.

^ oh snap! lol but uh...if they are being weird like that...maybe they shouldn't be upgraded to "best friend status" so easily...my homeboy/bestfriend/bestie/bro would kill, rape, pillage, go to jail, steal, lie, die, fight, bitch smack(the list goes on) for me...but none of those are the reasons i call him my bestfriend, every horrible moment in my life where i would have lost it if anyone else was around, he ended up being there and kept me cool the entire time...not because i asked him to be there, but just on accident, i wouldn't see him for 2 or 3 weeks, then the day some **** goes down, we just happen to be chilling or whatever...buuuuut not everybody is the same....i just suggest you look deeper into the person before calling them a "bestfriend"
dude he was my bestfriend before he even started dating her...
you said he was messing around with the girl for 4 years? so that puts your friendship at 4+...i dunno it's odd...did he ever tell you why he is acting the way he is? Sounds like she is wearing the pants if you ask me....
I've known him for 7 years. She is defiantly wearing the pants. Everytime I tell him he needs to break up with her he always says, 1. "Why?" 2. "Your retarded" or 3. "Whatever".

Love trumps all. I gave up a lot of my long time friends for my girl. She deserves my time not them...

I think its sad. I see so many couples of all ages and they never talk to their friends. Having to be around each other cause they have to know what each other is doing all the time.

Its ok to wonder off an afternoon to communicate with different people.

You've got to have friends as well as "love". Sitting at home watching crap pile up isn't healthy. Get out - visit your friends. If they're mutual friends so be it.

Boys night, and Girls night - brilliant! Especially if you have kids. I take the kiddo to a movie, come home have some pizza... she goes off with her friends (shopping or what ever, I don't really care)... I ride my bike with my guy friends or watch 'the game' and you know what - neither of us are pissed off by it at all.

Actually - if you want to get some, send her off with her friends. She has a good time, comes home happy and you're in like Flinn. (Especially if you move a few bits around, clean up... make a cake, remember the kids) A tiny bit of effort, some time off, and you're good to go.

Now if you want to kill a relationship, spend 24-7 together. No time apart. Pretty soon you'll get sick of the way she does or doesn't do something... she'll get pissy that you didn't clean up the chips... and then you're in a world of hurt, and all of your friends are gone (because you bailed on them).

Friends>***** Friends<>Love

If you start dumping friends for some **** of a woman...and she leaves you(happens everyday) then you have nobody but yourself...get a gf who can get along with your friends and the same for your friends....everyone should be able to see the others friends on the street and stop and have a cool convo.

I don't disagree with you we still have friends. BUT, we dont rip and run the streets like we did when we were single. If we did, we wouldn't see each other, so sacrifices must be made for a relationship to work. It's life, that's how it goes. It's not that a couple has to be around each other all day every day, but atleast in our case, i would rather be with my girl because i enjoy her company more then some dude that wants to chase tail and drink and run the streets. It's just part of growing as a person i guess. When im with guy friends they are the same old same old. Drink, play video games, go the bars and chase women, etc etc. That's the kind of stuff that atleast I grew out of. Now we have goals to accomplish to live a good life.

Atleast in my case i work every morning and my lady usually works evenings 4 days a week. So there is time to stray and hang with friends but when we are both off i think it's mutual that we would rather be in each other's company. The only ones sour are the friends that get left behind. Usually when we hang with friends we are together, and they are together with their significant other, because most people do not like to go through life alone.

Like i said though, we still have friends. Just not as many and we certainly don't devote as much time to them as we did when we were single. We now have to accomplish things together and work, manage the house chores, walk the dog, etc etc. So where's the time come to do it all ? It doesn't, somethings gotta give and it's usually some friends.

^This is why you have friends who are in relationships and aren't chasing ***! duh....if your in a stable and secure relationship, surround yourself with folks of the same situation....that way you can relate, go out, and behave even when your SO's aren't around

I agree totally. To do that you have to ditch people like Nauree though. Which is how this post started No offense really Nauree, but relationships take work and sacrifice, and i think you were sac'ed. It happens, and it's not a bad thing, it's just part of life.
