bands you see live
You guys have pretty good *** taste in music...
JAYND: Social D rocks man. When I was in Iraq I used to fall asleep to a montage of the D almost every night.
51Plymouth: CLUTCH IS THE MOTHA F'N JAMS MAN!! Clutch and Throwdown both make me want to get ****ty drunk, and beat down the nearest p*ssy.
QuickNDeadly: You have to love Dream Theater. I can't listen to them too much at one time but their skills are out of this world. If you haven't already check out Dragonforce...Not quite as talented but very shred-like.
jfunkrr: Sevendust is always a great show. I listen to mostly metal, and hardcore these days but Sevendust is one of those bands I will always enjoy listening to.
I have to give it up for one of the best live shows I ever attended...Days after we got back from Iraq in 06 we went to the Unholy Alliance Tour at Pops in Sauget, IL. It was one of the best coming home gifts ever because it featured some of my most favorite bands like Mastodon, Children of Bodom, the always incredible Lamb of God and the Kings of metal

jay - being from MD i'm sure you had been to a few hfstivals back before it became real REAL stupid spanish music...
I'd say a good 90% of these bands were awesome live... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HFStival_acts

pepper and the expendables and a few others, i don't have bands that i HAVE to see, but if they are in the area i try to go out to them,
I like warp tour, been 3 in years in a row.
just got back from a 2 day local music fest. a mix of bands, from hippieish to raggie to punk/emo.
awesome time, i am still recovering from my weekend of endurance drinking though.

xxnewguyxx, actually the only bands off that list i like were 311, america hi-fi, and atmosphere. im very picky when it comes to music. i wont buy cd's or say i like a band if ony 2 songs off their cd are worth a ****, and the rest.....are ****, lol. so i dont buy cd's too too often. in my opinion, alot of bands coming out suck.
but yeah, hfstival and warped tour USED to be decent. they've just gone down the drain though. if you're familiar w/ MD, more so the Bmore area......know of 9:30 club (DC), Rams Head Live, Recher Theater, Sonar? all great places to see some live music.

Back in the day it was a competition to be able to play Slayer, Kreator or testament riffs. And children of bodoms ramones cover is still in my playlist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BG0oJD2Nic
