Which bands are the cylinder head side carb bands?

Which bands are the cylinder head side carb bands?
When they say that does that mean the bands on the boots that are closest to the intake ports on the engine? cause I loosened up the ones closest to the carberators. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
