its almost a brand new tire, i dont have money to buy a new one for a while cause i got insurance, rent, car payment and cable along with elect. coming up, so im F**k for a while,,,,oh yeah and the day before(yesterday) i was going home from school and where i park the bike is like a up hill (one way, north) so a car passes me as im backing up (down) and i follow behind bout 10 feet, so then i see the car stop and (at that moment i was thinking of going aroud him) his reverse lights come on and im thinking ( your not bout to go back> so then i see his car backing up and i start to rev the bike and its loud(two bros) an the dude dosent stop so i just start to roll back but not fast enough and before his back bumper hits me i hold the front and back brakes hard so when there was impact my bike didnt move, his car didnt do nothing to my bike and his back bumper had my tire mark and it was cracked, they guy was all "Im sorry man, i didnt see you, i heard you but i didnt think bout it, iM sorry" all i said was " everything is good man, im not hurt my bike is not dameged but your bumper is" he said "F**K my bumper, im sorry" so i just left with a story to tell, but what a Fu**ing dumbass.



Oh yeah when i was living the university cop (TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY POLICE) saw everything cause it happend in front of the university cop station and he got a ticket.

man, i personally wont roll on a patched, plugged, re-tread? anything that has less than 100% structural integrity...but thats me....


i would buy a new one....hell put it on a credit card if you have to...the expansion caused by heat and torsional stress from turning just makes my brain hurt comprehending why someone would(on a motorcycle) ride on a patched tire unless it was ABSOLUTELY nessecary...

 

Never use fix-a-flat in any tire. The stuff is like a bomb and if the tire mechine makes a spark it could blow up the shop-This has happend in the past. Slim is the best stuff to use on a qaud tire or something like that.

If the hole is not big then a patch should be ok, but like was said before you are only on 2 wheels on a fast bike so is your life worth it? You make the call.

 

The 07 600RR owners manual says some stuff about patches. Saying that if you do patch a tire, it's supposed to only be temporary and it limits the maximum speed the tire is rated for to 80mph. Soooo... yeah. If it was on the front tire, there's no way I would patch it... back tire, well, it's you and your wallets call. I'd say buy a new one. Heck, it'll give you an excuse to go scrub it in!

 

I had a staple in my tire this spring, tire maybe had 1k miles on it? I patched it, got a tire off ebay and drove it to a shop....I go down the interstate almost every day, no way in hell I am depending on a patch....I got a tire off ebay, same one honda wanted $340 for I got for $137 shipped...

 

actually scratch that, patch it....then do a sick burnout till you shred it!
the cops, neighbors, old ladies on their front porch, you dog.....will all wonder....IS THIS GUY OUTTA HIS MIND?!?!?!?

better yet, do it infront of a police station and post up the video! hahahah
