I miss that too, I was smart and I started going to college when I was 16-17, man those guys used to get me drunk 4 or 5 times a week, they used to make fun of other people because a 16 year old was out drinking someone 5 years older than them. They helped me get my first piece of college ***. My HS friends used to brag about drinking a half a bottle of vodka, I remember one night I drank a 24 case of miller lite and a big bottle of techquia and ate the worm, I look back and wonder how I never died of alchol poisoning cause being so young those guys would just keep feeding one beer after another and shot after shot. Still friends with alot of those guys

I didn't even do anything on my 21st, I just don't drinking really anymore and I know my tolerance is gone for it cause its alot cheaper to get drunk on 3 beers than 12

In the old days, I did a lot of drinking on the strip sitting in my truck. One time a cop came by, saw my can, told me I shouldn't have it out there, told him I lived 3 houses down the street, and he told me to dump it out. Back when you could get away with stuff, I saw the changes coming. Drinking underage was a blast, it was new, exciting, and trying to not get caught. Through my 20's, hitting the bars, with lots of friends, and getting a good buzz on slamming drinks on the way to a club to see a band. Definitely good times. Now I make beer at work and home, so don't go out much. Can't drink as much as I used to, too worried about drinking and driving now, and some of the excitement has faded. Good times at some of the beer festivals, though.

The only thing i use drinking for these days is to forget my troubles or to lighten the senses.
Either way they always come back to me.

It really is not as fun as it used to be.
That is a fact of life i have learned to deal with.

Me too. I'm sure I consumed more alcohol between the ages of fifteen and twenty than I have in the quarter-century since then. It was fun, we didn't have anything better to do, and I could recover just fine. Now, if I go out and have three (Imperial size, 20-ounce) pints, I'm dragging *** the next morning. Especially since most bars around here will give you a round on the house after your second or third, so three usually turns into four. It really isn't worth it to feel like hell the day after. I can have just as much fun stopping after two drinks. Same thing for other intoxicants. In high school we smoked weed, dropped acid, but I haven't touched any of that stuff in decades, and probably never will.
