idk if this has been a thread before but how many of you have systems in your cars? and what do you have?

im a JL guy... i started w. the cheapest MTX10s in the world and upgraded to JL 10"W0 and it was like a million times better, then i got the 12" W1v2 and now that my g/f decided she wants a system w. her tax check, im kinda "selling/trading" my 12w1v2 and getting some 12"w3v3. i cant wait to hear the difference.

what do you guys have/like?

Alright, a post I can ***** out pictures of my Stereo[8D]I've pretty much used alpine, mtx, pioneer, sony, rockford, cervin vegas, jvc, kenwood before and I'm by far the happiest with my current step up. I used to be in my car aLOT(28K milesa year) before I got my bike, so I decided that a decent stereo system would be worth it. Now, that I have the bike we'll see who get more attention...lol

My S2000 has a panasonic Head unit and component Soundstream Speakers and a Soundstream Tarantula Amp. Not too impressed with it, but I guess it is OK.

 

i dont do big setups anymore but usually i throw a alpine in dah in my vehicles and upgrade the speakers

 

Cant get it in my current vehicle, but its a 15" Digital Designs 9515 with an Earthquake D2 Shredder amp.

 

i used to have a 93 RX7 with one 15" solo baric in the back... and that was enough to make me never want a sub in my car again.. i might get one 8" JL in the back just to add alittle. but thats it.

 

i didnt go crazy with my stereo but i used you have a 2 x12" Pioneer Diamond plate subs, with a Kicker 600w amp, and a sony xplode cd/mp3 player. that was back when know one even heard of a MP3 in dash player.

 

I have 2 12's and a California 1000w in the hatchback Talon.

1 18' peavey, 2 15in' JBL's, lots of smallers tweaters, turntables, mixers, amps, recievers, and the best piece ever, the Kosmos sub harmonic gernerator. That's all in one room of my house. Used to DJ in college, never gave up my stuff.

 

My brother has one JL Audio 12W7 in his 4runner with 1500 watts...No custom set up, just the loudest damn thing you've ever heard in your entire life. He hit like 160 dB with just one sub.

Back when I was in college I invested a good $3k in a stereo for my car

I had two Xtant X1044A hexagonal subwoofers with two 1000 watt amps (each runnin 1 ohm to one sub) with a 1 farad cap for each... full custom wired with 0 gauge monster wire and RCAs... also had the custom component installed in the doors (sooo clean!) and tweeters. and the original MDX cameleon CD player... at the time there was no better quality stuff than Xtant amps.

Sadly no pics but damn I miss listening to Ghetto Cowboy, driving real slow through the parking lot setting off car alarms. I actually managed to crack the windshield in the car in two separate places on the same night.

 

Haha nice. I'm guessing i'm not the only one to have a few rearview mirrors fall off in my days.
