Saturday i was taking the bike out for a spin after putting on the new slip on. had been coming home from the beach and a bag shot out from under a car and hit the front of my bike. It had something in it, and immediately i noticed a lack of front brakes....****! I pulled over and whatever was in the bag hit my rotor and bent a piece of the hub, so the rotor was bent too.

I took it to Scotts Motorcycle Repair here in Socal and he said he's never seen a brake hub bend like that without locking up the front and sending the riding cartwheeling down the freeway. I guess I got extremely lucky, and he had a wrecked CBR in the shop that i got a rotor off of so i was in and out! Still kind of bothers me knowing i could have been roadkill [&o]

 

damn, talk about lucky man... sucks to hear about the rotor, but still... glad it's all taken care of and you weren't hurt.

 

Lucky lucky. I havent heard of that happening to anyone but i guess it is very possible. Sometihngs you just cant avoid.

 

Wild, can't see how it would bend and not stop the bike... crazy.
