I hit buy it now on a slip on 2 bros exhaust for my f4i, but haven't heard squat from him yet. Generally my communication with other ebay users has been extremely fast. I paid for the item within 5 minutes of clicking buy it now, the payment has cleared and left my checking account, but no communication from the seller whatsoever.

He's got excellent feedback history, and seems like it should be all good. But I bought the item on tuesday, and haven't heard a word and it's now friday.

How long should a person wait before taking steps to retracting payment? Maybe I'm just being impatient...though it's a sweet pipe so granted I am at least a little impatient...

 

by ebay rules, i believe they say to allow the seller one week to provide you with tracking info. If hes got good feedback and all that, he may have already shipped it and not had a chance to get to a computer. Give it till monday and see if that changes.

 

some sellers dont say anything, but ship just fine. just give it time, you will probably get the item without hearing a word...happened to me several times. it is highly annoying though.

 

it's all good, he just sent me a message...probably life just got busy for him...that's how it's been for me lately too.

Per eBay rules, the seller isn't *required* to communicate with you whatsoever. Even if you file an "item not received" case, you still have to wait 30 days before eBay \ PayPal will take any definitive action.


Glad to hear things worked out, though.

 

I find so many good deals from canadian sellers but shipping always kills the deal and so does waiting an extra week for it to go through customs. *sigh*

One day we'll have a device in everyone's home that will transport what you buy instantly. I can dream.
