I agree that he isn't **** now compared to the competition, BUT back when he was killin there were ALOT less rules. It used to be no nut shots, no eye gouging, no biting, and no hair pulling....now there is so much bull**** no kicking when they are down, no headbutting, no kicking to the face w/out padded shoes on.....
I agree. And pretty much evertone has to, thats just the way it is. But you do have to admit that the new age fighters are alot better than back in the day. The old school guys could bring it back then, but if you would have taken them in their time and put them against an evenly matched new school fighter the old school would loose 75% of the time. Thats just my .02

psycojester-

Dude are you serious about the bet with tito and shamrock? You would really put your hard earned money on shamrock against tito again? Sorry, but wow you must be his biggest fan cause I don't think anyone would put money on him.

Back in the day you could hit in the nuts and pull hair. And in the ufc you can't wear any shoes but your still right about no kicking to the face of a downed opponent. And Ken in his prime versus and Light heavy weight contender today Ken would lose still IMO. All he has is leg locks and everyone knows how to defend them know just from watching Ken submit everyone with them in the old UFC's.

The thing to do is get as many people as you can over to pitch in a little bit and bring a little food it really makes it more enjoyable. My family and friends do that and during boring fights I watch but they all talk and bs until there is some action going on. Also, if you check local bars/sports bars/hooters they usually rent them and you just watch it for the cover charge. But yes the last UFC was the worst ever IMO and I've seen damn near all of them.

Whether Shamrock was the best back in the day meant nothing on Sunday! It is what it is....and now it's over!

WANDERLEI SILVA IS COMMING TO FIGHT CHUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chuck is gonna get beat down.
That's a pretty bold statement considering Silva has been fighting (most of the time) in a league where you have to back off of your opponent when they're down. I've got a lot of respect for the Pride fighters, but UFC is a different game. I think the UFC guys are better MMA fighters.

Vann-Der-Lay is gonna get his **** handed to him by the Iceman. Can't wait til the 26th...

Actually Pride has fewer rules than the UFC regarding the ground. In pride you can knee and kick your opponent in the head while on the ground and in the UFC you cant. The cage will be a big advantage for Liddell though because in pride they reset you in the middle if you get near the ropes, while in the ufc you just push the guy into them so he can't slip your punches. Chuck and Wanderlai won't won't go to the ground though.

Yea you're right... maybe it's K-1 that I am thinking about then that you can't "kick a man while he's down".

My roommate is a supervisor at Charter so we get all those PPV's for free... UFC, Pride, K-1, WWE, boxing, Movies InDemand, etc. All the rules seem to blend together when you watch so many MMA fights.

Yah K1 is strictly a standup kickboxing league. Pride has good ground game because of the knees to the head but the reffing in pride is so sketchy. But like Jerrad said, this won't go on the ground, well Chucks face will but nothing else.
