I have a sweet pit bull. She is champion bloodline in show and pull, but I traded for her and just wanted a pet.

my boys name is Ryder. he is almost 2yrs and is the most lovable dog i have ever owned. Pits are great dogs they just get bad reps b/c if you raise a pit to be mean they can do some damage. mineis great with all my buddiesdogs and has never snapped at anyone.he deffinitely likes to destroy stuff though. (i.e. pictured chair)

I like pits but have never owned one. For the most part grew up with the same stereo-type as many, but met a good buddy who had two, and they were the most laid back coolest dogs ever, kids would wrestle with em and slap em around, the dogs were very patient and understanding. What I like about them is there is no real concern with medical issues assosiated with the breed. But like mentioned, allot of knuckleheads make it hard on the other responsible owners
I would agree this is my fifth pit !! even though I like just about every breed they are very resistant to normal health issues and if you raise them right the "perfect subject to have your back" I will always have at least 1 pit [sm=icon_rock.gif]

Man great pic!! Yeah man eater huh!! punish the deed not the breed !!!! in NC we do have many of the above mentioned RED-NECKS breeding for fighting !! In my town they have tried to institute the breed specific ban on pits so my boy is registered as a mutt cause aint no freakin politician takin my family !!!!

Maybe I can loan you guys my stepdaughter's cat for a "play date". I can see where you are coming from as far aswho ownsthat breed of dog. I would generally think of a mullet having, Hamms drinking, single wide mobileliving, acid washed jean wearing, white trash redneck as a typical Pit Bull owner, but that is just a crude stereotype, and probably has nothing to do with you fine gents! Myself, I've ALWAYS wanted a Basset Hound...at least as long as I wanted a motorcycle.
[sm=funnypostabove.gif] haha!!! poor Bassets they drag their dingy when they walk!!! LOL !!

Now that's some funny stuff. I explained earlier that I wanted a Basset Hound, but the first dog we are going to get is for my wife...

...Needless to say, I'll be getting my *** kicked quite a bit in the future.
