Any interest in the 2015 offerings?

I retract my previous statement. There's quite a bit this year that excites me. The new R1, the RC213V-S, the new Panigale, the new Tuono, etc all intrigue me now that I actually see what's being shown at EICMA.

Is 200+hp going to be the new industry norm? Now it looks like I may need to start looking at Forced Induction for my bike....

Right???? Remember its 200 crank HP. The new RSV4 is 201hp, but its only 16hp up from the last one which dyno's around 155whp. The BMW on the other hand, thats just alot of power.

The more I look at it and read about it the more I want one. I've patiently waited for Honda to release a new design that dominates the field for several years, like they did in '08 and '09. However, it looks like they've been content with tweaking an old design year after year.

The 2015 R1 is fresh, a reported 200hp and at 439 lbs wet it weighs about the same as my '08 1000RR when it was stock. It is loaded with enough tech gadgets to make Luke Skywalker envious. MSRP is $16,490 but I know of one dealer a few states away who claims they will be selling them for $14,500 OTD. I'll take one in Yamaha Blue.

Realistically, new bikes aren't an option for me, basically due to cost. But I have to be honest, I'm excited about the new r1 making original cross plane crank owners wanting to ditch their "underpowered" 09-14 bikes to get a new one 200 hp one.

OH, THAT SOUND!!!!

But, it does look like a ton of bike for the money.
