I think the Yamaha fiasco is the only reason Michael wasn't on the top step. I was thrilled to see James Hillier get the on the podium, although it was a shame to see MD crash, as well as Gary Johnson, who wasn't hurt either, BTW (broadcasters didn't follow up on that one).
And how about Hutchy's race? Pretty impressive from a guy whose entire career was thought to be over.
I'm still waiting to see what Guy has going for him with the new bike. It was a shame it didn't last more than a half lap. I had it down that this could be his year since he was on a BMW and MD was having issues with the new R1 and then the last minute switch.

I hope William Dunlop has a speedy recovery...
Guy will be riding the Victory Zero bike in William's absence.
These guys really seem to be pushing. I don't remember the racing being this hard 5yrs or so ago
Edit: Whoops, I didn't realize Hamlin alluded to that already.

WHAT. A. SENIOR!!!!
That is why I love this type of racing. Where else could an "overweight" 43 yr old win and claim the lap record?!
I'm giving this thread until the end of Sunday, then moving it to the road racing thread. Remember, there are quite a few good races left: Ulster, the Southern, and even the Manx (classic), etc.
