Another rider down.

Another rider down.
Recently with the all the good weather, motorcycle deaths in the area are on the rise. Today, there was another one, but when I saw the news report and the picture they showed, I immediately recognized something familiar.......new dealer tags. This is the fourth fatal accident this week in my area with brand-new bikes.
He was wearing a helmet, but it wasn't strapped on.......so it came off during the crash, and that's what he died from.
It's sad to see, and my prayers are with his family.

RE: Another rider down.
I see guys riding...with a helmet and then wearing shorts and a T-shirt. (Squid)
I saw a guy the other day...brand new Gixxer...with his girlfriend on back, she had a helmet, he did not,...sitting at a mailbox....
wobbling back and forth, looking about ready to fall over as they were either trying to put the mail in the box, or maybe getting
ready to pull away.
It's always sad when a fellow rider dies...especially an experienced and good rider...who is dressed properly...but say gets rear-ended at a
stop light by some dumb b**** who was yacking away on her cell phone and didn't see the light was red.
(Which ought to be a manslaughter charge at least....but is usually..."driver was cited for failing to stop at a signal". End of story.)
Since I quit riding in 94...and have come back to riding in 2006....drivers have gotten worse...and motocyclists have become less
experienced or informed.
It would be a great idea for everyone who rides to take a MSC or join a club that has some regulations and rules for riding.
Ignorant...and Sad.
If you live in Texas...this club is a good one...
