Today on the news they showed another guy who went down and killed himself on Buckhorn Summit near Redding California. The bike it showed was some big cruiser with saddlebags and everything. Once I was riding my old 954 up Buckhorn and saw a guy walking beside his bike while gassing it tryin to get it out of a ditch. His girlfriend who was on another bike said he went to fast and dropped into the ditch.They were on cruisers.I just responded with well you guys be careful out here. Why is it most bike wrecks I see are 40+ year olds on cruisers. I guess they are new to riding and just showing off not knowing that a car can out corner a cruiser.

 

That does happen a lot, midlife crisis scenario, guy buys harley and all the goods, and doesnt know the first thing about riding a bike. Of course, that happens to our own kind too, probably more often than others.

 

Sorry to hear about another rider of any kind losing there life. I think if i have a midlife crisis i will stick to hookers or something.
