Default AMA's "And Justice for all" program...

Hey everyone,
I came across this post on another forum and I think it's a great thing. AMA is apperantly trying to get some laws changed to make sure people who injure and kill motorcycle riders face the proper penalties. We have all heard stories about the congressman who ran the light and killed a rider and got 100 days jail time, in which he could leave during the day to do what he needed to. There are several stories going around like that. I thought it was some interesting reading and I encourage everyone to support the AMA with this program. If you are not an AMA member, now would be a good time.

Info on the program: http://www.amadirectlink.com/justice/index.asp

Stories of misjustice: http://www.amadirectlink.com/justice/injustice.asp

Bout friggin time. That Congressman Janklow should have been beat! Not only did he get only 100 days, he also said that since he was on "official business", he shouldn't have to pay the family........ but the taxpayers should. Douche bag! GO AMA!!!!!

Im glad that we are finially getting some sort of backing to protect our butts out on the street, like that movie in the other thread, anyone can bowl us over, run us down, ect and just say they didn't see us. Now if they can just do something about people washing their windshields with a bike behind them...[&:]

You are not kidding about people washing their windshield when we are behind them on the bike. The worst though is when someone infront of you throws a cigarette out the window and you are right behind them on the bike.
