if big chain electronic stores shut down? Ya we wouldnt have the convinence of just walking in store that very day.

So here's my rants.

1. Their ads are always misleading. Circuit city has a Buy 3, get 2 free HD dvds. I go in and they want over $90. WTF? Sir, its buy 3 at $30 each and get 2 free. Lets see, I can go onto ebay and get brand new ones at $10-$15 each and still save money. Dont give me that BS that retail stores cant compete with online stores. That's bs. "Well the main thing is they have to pay their workers." That leads to numero dos.

2. Customer service. Who on here can walk into a chain elect store and get service. Hell even if you tell the dip**** you're going to buy something, who can get service? I know I cant. Dam ****s will be walking around (if they arent hiding in the lounge) talking on their motha****in cellphones.

Who said they need to be payed $8 or more an hour to stand around doing not a god damn thing. Hell retail stores would make more money if they didnt have "sales people" or I like to shorten to "****s". Even checking out is an expericence on another level. It doesnt ring up, wrong price on the wrong item, the sale price isnt showing up. A damn middle school child could do a better job as a "****s" and wouldnt mind being payed $4.

3. I DONT NEED A $100 CORD TO HOOK UP MY ****IN MONITOR!!!!!! ****! What is up with every chain carring the most expensive "small item" ****? I can go to newegg and order a 15ft DVI to HDMI cable for under $15 and guess what........IT WORKS!!!!!

But ranger those cords are mass produced and are inferior to MONSTER CABLE. Listen dip, is the picture not showing up on my screen? O it is, WELL THEN IT WORKS! Lets buy two exact tv's and tv exact HD players and you SHOW ME with your HUMAN EYE which one is better.

4. But ranger I want my stuff NOW! Hell I can get free shipping and my order will be here in 2 days. I can wait. I can also pay shipping and come out cheaper than sales tax.

I agree, the customer service is pretty bad in these stores. I'm not sure if they get paid commission or not, but the only time I ever see people being helped by the employees is in either the TV, computer or other expensive merchandise areas. I had to interrupt two employees having a conversation about two weeks ago when I went into Best Buy to find a memory card reader and I wasn't very happy about it because I had to track them down first to ask where a certain one was, and they wouldn't take me to the certain one I asked for, they just pointed in the general direction of them. I ended up having to search for themby myself.
They should also keep a "Good, Better, Best" of small items for the customers to have a better selection to fit their price ranges...
I'd rather wait a couple days for a better deal on something rather than getting ripped off, I just ordered some Silverstar Ultras for my bike and a friends bikeand I ended up getting three packsshipped for $90 on eBay, but if I would have bought them from a local auto parts store I would have paid over $150. Wow... having a bad day Ranger? Let's have a beer and run by Circuit City before that sales ends.

I know where you're coming from, there is no such thing as customer service any more. Not as much anyways. I order 90% of the stuff I get anymore.

I recently bought a DVD player for $40 and it came with an HDMI cable.

Thats like saying "buy the cable and get the dvd player for free!"

Dude I am a manager at a corporate owned cell phone store... and I can tell you first freakin hand that it is impossible to get good people to work for you in retail. The hours suck, the pay typically sucks, and it is always short staffed. I am 100% serious when I say that all the good employees I have had in the past end up leaving whenever the commission dries up, and those are typically the ones who are giving the good service as well.

Most dip****s think that just because they show up for work they are entitled to a free paycheck and a $3000 bonus check every month without having to lift a finger... man I hate that. When I was a sales person, I led the copmany in sales statewide and also was consistently number one in customer service scores... THEY GO HAND IN HAND. Unfortunately most people don't have the ability to think more than 15 minutes into the future when their lunch break is or when it's time to go outside and hangout with their ex girlfriends best friend who they're trying to hook up with (or some bull like that)

Rant over!

(In all serious, it's not that bad if you have the right attitude but dealing with the idiots who don't is the hardest part)

My friend went over 200 miles looking for a Nintendo Wi last Christmas. Finally found the only one left in Circuit City. They had some deal where if you bought a Wi you got to pick out a game for free, so he goes up to the counter, tells the girl to hold the Wi there because he was walking 20 steps over to pick out a game. Found the game, got back to the regisiter, and the girl had left for a smoking break and someone else bought the Wi. Needless to say he was PISSED!!![:@]

I loved when i applied to circuit city and best buy for a car audio sales or install job and they told me we I was to far over qualified, for the work they do. i accepted they measley pay and they still didnt want me. I guess mecp certification and spefic break down certificates in amps, boxes, and alarms, means i know way to much. But hey whatever the stoner they have now has no clue what he is talking about.

What really irritates me is Best Buy and their stupid warranty. Bought a 4 year warranty for a head unit I purchased, after like 6 months the connectors that work between the face plate and the actually cd player started to wear out so the headunit would frequently turn off on it's own and you'd have to wiggle the face plate until it turned back on. I brought it into the store for warranty work, took 6 weeks to get the thing back only for them to tell me it was wear and tear and wasn't covered under warranty. Read the warranty, and found it specifically covers wear and tear. Worst off, didn't want to go another 6 weeks with no tunes and didn't want to deal with the potential lawsuit so I never brought up the issue.

I will say, at least best buy has a fairly relaxed return policy though. I've had a few things that I needed to return even though I bought it some time ago, and they took it no questions asked.
