if you've been around the 954 forum, you found out that i recently bought a 954, did some minor work to it, then had a friend of mine drop it and wreck it.. now, its time to pay me back and to help contribute to what he owes ($4k), he's convincing his friend to sell me his 05 gsxr 600, its in mint condition, has 16k miles, a power commander, a yoshimura slip on.. its looks awesome.. BUT i don't like gsxrs..

decisions, decisions...

i'm gonna have to take it off his hands..

 

i like the way the 05's look buuuuuuuuuut....954 > gixxer. If its no bike or a gixxer and youre getting a deal on it though or for free then definately do it. Should still be worth 4-5k in a year or so and you can always sell it or trade for something else eventually.

 

thats why you dont let your friends ride your bike... unless they have their own to give you when they wreck yours.

its def a hard lesson learned.. i just don't know what to do at this point.. i want to maximize the situation i am in..

i want the gixxer for $3k and i want an extra $1k cash on top of that..

i want to then sell the gixxer for $4k and get back to a honda asap..

but i think they guy who dropped my bike won't be so willing to give up that additional $1k.. anyone got any persuasive ideas.. besides my bullying tactics?

 

bro if I were you I would refuse everything except for the $4k. Don't let him weasel his way out of paying that extra grand just cuz he got you a sweet deal. 4k.

16k miles and 05 600cc GSXR?! Dude you can find those aplenty. Just ask for the 4k and tell him to stfu.

yeah no way id spend 3k on a gixxer, especially a 600, if i had a perfectly good 954 that my friend wrecked. If he was buying the bike for you id consider it, otherwise youre spending 3000 on a bike when you shouldnt have to because of something that was someone elses fault.

 

so wait, you have to pay 3000 out of your pocket? or thats the price he will buy the bike for?

 

yea i'd have to pay the $3k out of my pocket to get the gixxer and still wait for that $4k nonetheless.. i'm able to do it, i just didn't want to..
