I have actually been tempted to get a track bike or something to paint.

On base we have a paint both, that you just supply the paint, and they have everything else ready to go. You rent the booth by the hour I believe.

 

I have a compressor..And i have found a gun for like $30.00 shipped that will work with it..im thinking about doing that..but thats not much different then spray paint if you do it right..maybe ill take the tank off next time it rains and get an electric sander and really spend some time on it..i dont know yet..i might do hondas peral orange color..i love that color, there is an 08 RR at our local stealer that has one..i should just go buy it

 

Only thing I recommend if you do paint it is get a regulator to separate or take out as much H2O as possible, especially if you have a cheaper compressor, otherwise it wont be so nice. Id atleast try it though

 

i say try to DIY - if you got a compressor and just buy a gun and sander,what's the worse that can happen?orange peel and overspray.. and if it doesn't work out, so you payed like $100 bucks trying yourself and then you take it to the actually paint-shop.. If you do get the hang of it (trust me, the first time is never going to be your best work), you can have a new paint-job every week if you like haha.. But it is a good skill to learn if you have the time on your hands I say. Cool part is when you start learning how to mask off and do creative designs.
