^^ Problem is I didn't really NEED them, but took them out so I wouldn't have to "tough it out" at all while going to school. Needless to say, I've been living rather lavishly for a college student, and it's now caught up and smacked me in the face.........then kicked me in the *****..........and then laughed at me rolling on the floor in pain.

I'm fat and I'm starving right now. I would buy pizza, and a lot of it, like a lifetime supply, but I'm so fat so a lifetime supply would like last me a month. I love pizza.

Nothing has happened yet, there's no checks waiting to be mailed out. It's only a proposal, and if it passes, the check would just be a rebate for those with a certain level of income who paid taxes last year. To wit:
...as in, don't expect a check:
Sorry folks. At least the Dems are trying to change the proposal to include low-income individuals, families, and retired old grannies...
I'm neither Rep nor Dem--I just work my *** off for dick...er, uh you know what I mean...

Republican lawmakers favor a proposal that would offer rebates of up to $800 for individuals and $1,600 for families — but only if they paid that much in taxes last year.

For practical purposes, analysts estimate, a family of four with an income of $24,000 would receive no government payments at all, and families with incomes below $40,000 would at most receive partial rebates. But a household with an income of $100,000 or more could get back $1,600.

Mr. Obama’s plan offers $250 in government payments to all working adults, $500 if the economy continues to worsen, and similar payments of up to $500 to people receiving Social Security benefits. His advisers estimated that the payments would reach 95 percent of all workers, and all Social Security recipients. Though the payments would be lower than those proposed by Republicans, they would reach more people.

So I have to pay the gov $800 to get $800. Wtf is the point. The majority of America is low income this wont help most people let alone the econ. If they wanted to help the econ they would elimate income taxes.
Did they do this a few years back with a $300 check for people that could get it and it didnt do a dam thing to the economy. Ya, that might have helped if we were back in the '40's or 50's.
If you dont know what to do with your money, give it to the gov. They'll know what to do with it. *rolls eyes*
