Default 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I am in the market for a new MV. My 04 explorer was totaled in an MVA about 3 weeks ago. I have been lookin gat the 07 Wrangler unlimited 4 doors. They are pretty nice. I plan on lifiting it and putting bigger tires on it. Any opinons. Preferably from those who have or have had jeep wranglers in the past. The pros and cons of jeep wrangler and how they perform

i havent heard much on the new wranglers, but have heard that jeep is losing their name as the offroad legend and gearing more towards the suburb crowd...which blows

i've never owned a jeep but have tons of friends who have or still do. First off, the most trail ready jeep (if you are interested) is the Rubicon, with front and rear elctric lockers and 4:1 T-case.. its amazing!

But.. on a side note, jeeps are actually a pretty decent american made vehicle. The gas mileage could be better, but crash tests and all around (year-round) capabilites are decent, plus you can mod the HECK out of them! I'm really not a huge fan of the '07 body style, but whatever works for ya. I feel they are a bit too boxy and a bit over priced, but those are my 2 cents.

One thing you may want to look at before you make your decision. The 4.0 is gone for 2007. It has the 3.8 which is still a pretty good engine.
But take a good Hard look at under the vehicle and compare it to previos years! Not as Beefy in suspension or frame. I see them on a regular basis I
am a Jeep , Chrysler Dodge Master Tech. Not seen any mods yet??? Just my 2cents

not a big fan of the new jeeps. I got a 67 cj5 thats where its at. I work for a toyota dealer and they say that new fj will school a wrangler off road. Jeep is steering away from that because if your going to mud it you probably wont be buying a new one to do it with. Get a older used 4 runner with the 3400 v6 unstoppable off road.

as stated above, Jeeps are going towards the civilized H2 approach... wanting to be appealing to off-road, but more of city dwelling vehicles.
