2 quick questions
ok guys for you that know me ive been kinda absent for awhile, no internet at the house and was finally able to log on tonight at work. But anyways ive got a 98 900 RR and it has a 16 inch front rim and a 17 inch rear rim, what year model bikes could i take a 17 inch front rim from and make it work? is there a kit i can buy or will it bolt right up? and lastley im looking for new rims for my bike i dont like the stock rims, there hard to clean and look cluttered for lack of a better word, i want something like my wife has on her 06 F4i 3 spoke black or powder coated, any ideas? ive tried googling for aftermarket rims but it just pulls up chrome, i dont want chrome all i want is 3 or 5 spoke black or powder coated 17 inch front and rear any ideas would be great thanks
You said any ideas so here goes.....what about marchesni (SP?) wheels? I know I butchered the name but you know what I am talking about. Those are pretty sick, and have a super sick price tag also. Have you tried any vendors for cross refferencing to what fits your ride? I remember looking on indysuperbikes.com and kneedraggers.com for some wheels a bit back and they had many options for lots of hondas, Pricey is all unless you know what OEM will fit and you can hunt on E-bay. Sorry if I wasn't helpfull!
Is the front OEM? Hmm - didn't know they ever did that.
You could take any number of wheels from an F3 to current models. The only question is what bearings to use for your axle size, and I don't know that answer, buddy.
Try to find a dealer who can tell you the axle size and any other CBR that uses that axle size in front then find that wheel would be my guess. Then you have rotor and caliper issues. Shouldn't be extremeley difficult, but my guess is you have at least some decent amount of homework to do.
Good luck mang.
