No, I wont spend that much on an entire computer, let alone parts. Seems kind of ridicy to me. But then, thats what your interested in, and other have theirs. I have no idea what that is, I cant really help you. I am pretty sure you are looking for answers from those who are into this kind of stuff like you and know what that space device is, but I just say NO.
That quite a few parts on a bike.

I'm working on getting something exactly like that for a gaming computer I'm building. Except I'll be going with cross-fire instead of SLI. Only worth the money if you are going to use it IMO. Some people buy that kind of setup just to say they have it. Thats too much money for me just to have it play solitare.

Ummm...And online Gambler is not a professional gamer. There is no way he needs even a 6600GT let alone an 8800. These card sare only used to their full potential in serious FPS gaming. That is when they shine. Browser-run PC games do not require a good graphics card.

Yeah I can imagine spending that kind of jack on a PC. I built mine about a year ago, P4 3.0GHz w/HT, twin 7800GT's in SLi, 2G DDR2 @ 800MHz, 2 74G Western Digital Raptors in Raid 0, X-Fi Sound and a 32" Flat Panel Monitor...
Here's a pic:
I built that computer for one reason... to play Battlefield 2 like no other. And I did. BF2 was the most intense, realistic game I ever played and what made it better was that there were 5 of us on a squad that always played together and we were all friends in real life long before that game. We were good. It was a blast. Then one of the guys in our group wanted my PC, and I wanted his CBR.
Now I have a CBR and he has my PC. I'm in the process of building another, just have to RMA this motherboard and once I get it back I'll be gaming it up. Cool thing about the trade (besides getting a CBR)? I finally went outside! Haha, Now I'm always outside where for a year almost, I never left the house when I had time to play.
Total cost with monitr was about $3000. Of course, the price on PC's drop dramatically in 6 months time, so I got my CBR for about $2000. Best trade ever!
Oh yeah, the X-Box 360 is a nice console, but it'll never have the features a PC does, no matter how much they try. Now if Microsoft got into the gaming PC market - then there might be something to whistle about.
