07' CBR1000RR VS. Blackbird
I rode a 06' CBR1000RR and absolutely fell in love. So I went out and bought an 07'.
My brother in law is a big guy so he has always loved the Blackbird because of it's speed and ability to carry weight well. Being the beast of it's time I figured it would just eat me up. So we went from a rolling start of 25mph. To my amazement my 1000RR destroyed him entirely. He was app. 200ft behind me at 185mph.
The only draw back that I have with the CBR1000RR is at 8000 rpm there is absolutely no way you can ride it out. It will dump you on you ace. When I went from a rolling start of 25mph I had to let out of it and let the Blackbird take over until I reached 90mph.
Now his best friend being a mechanic and he had the same bike but with a charger that had a 3lbs of boost took it to the road also. I really figured that he would kill me but I actually won by about a half a bike length. He boosted it up to 7lbs and now is pushing 220hp ha ha. Don't think I can challenge that right?
I was stock running the Blackbird with the turbo. Now I run a full race by Yoshimura, B & C filters and PCUSB3 Power commander.
Now I just have to take it to a tuning center to get the max out of it. The last Dyno I put it on said 149.7 running lean. After he adjusted it it put out 147.6 with the fuel/air mixture great.
I know stock out of the box it should push 146RWhp so adding that should give it atleast 10 more horses.
Well I plan on dropping a mid range to high range cam, new valves and get the head polished.
I won't be happy until I get 175RWhp. Ha ha.
Take care guys are ride safe.

Yes it's on 07'. She's my baby. I decided that I'll keep her around for awhile. About the time the 08's roll off the shelf ha ha.
I'll post some Dyno info up after the overhaul.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just by new plastic or you just want a decked out paint job?
