Hey guys,
Ya they snagged my bike right from under my nose. Any information leading to my bike coming back into my possession will be greatly appreciated. I'm not a rich kid, so my bike obviously means a lot to me. Got to watch the ****ers drive off with it with me sprinting down the street in chase. It's a ****ty feeling. Displayed below is a picture of my bike. Thanks for reading.

Hey man, sorry to hear about this! Make sure you are checking Craigslist, report it (obviously) and report it to surrounding towns too. I am sure you did all this, but as long as the police list that VIN as stolen, they cant get new plates.
Its a scary thought, my buddy had his stolen two weeks ago when he went inside a friends for 30 min.... people are a*******... Best of luck man

Welcome to the forum Nathan. Sorry its under these circumstances.
Having been a victim of bike theft, I know your feeling. I never got it back. Awhile back, in a busy Costco parking lot, a group in a van attempted to steal my RC51. Luckily I was walking to my bike & saw what was happening. I stopped the theft by the group of illegals.
Put an ad in CL & offer a reward. You'd be surprised what people will give up for the price of a carton of cigs.
Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome and condolences guys. For an 02 it's pretty crispy. Sucks I didn't get insurance on it for the season yet. Any other tips or tricks for dealing with type of situation is obviously appreciated.
Anyone have contact information for Chicago, Minneapolis and Des Moines to report? I'm having a bitch of a time finding it.

Very, very crappy situation guys. I'm so sorry! In the end, it will all work out so try to keep your head high even though its tough.
While on this subject, what are good ways of preventing things like this happening? Obviously, locking your handlebars is the bare minimum but the bike can still be picked up if it's a group and off she goes.
What things can us riders to possibly prevent things like this happening? I live in an apartment complex so I feel like it will be hard to sleep knowing my bike is just sitting out there!
