Default Winterizing question

Thanks to all who responded to my questions about choosing between the f4i and 954RR. I've decided to go with the 954RR..one year older (02) and 3,000 miles more (6,000 mi) than the f4i I was looking at but the same price. I couldn't resist. Not picking up the bike for a week or two (the guy just paid it off and is getting the title from Honda). My question is this: He keeps the bike in an insulated garage (I'm in Boston) and hasn't put stabilizer in it this year. Not very smart from my point of view..do any of you think that should be an issue? We are only into January now so it hasn't been very long. He has kept the tank full of gas. It ran fine the other day when I drove it. I'm thinking that its no big deal if I ride it home (45 min.) and run any gunk out of the system and then fill the tank and put some stabilizer in it. My other thought was to get down there sometime soon and ride it for a bit and throw some stabilizer in to hold the bike over until I pick it up. Any thoughts on these questions? Thanks to all. Can't wait to get that machine (big step up from my Katana 750). Scott
