Whats up guys
Going to pick up a 2005 CBR6000RR tomorrow from a guy up in lansdale PA. Im in love with the bike and got it a a fair price. The bike has a ton of mods done already. Im also a new driver, i did drive dirt bikes and quads as a kid. But i hear it alot different on a street bike.
Got question, im looking into jackets. What do you guys think about the SHIFT line of jackets?
Here is a pick of my bike.

Good lucking bike. Good luck w/ the pick-up tomorrow.
Yep, sport bikes are dif breed than dirt. However, remember the basics & focus on control. I highly suggest the MSF course Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
As for the shift jacket... as long as it has CE approved armor, you're GTG. I personally prefer full leather for street riding, as it provides an additional layer of tough protection.

Awesome looking bike!!!! Welcome to the family...You should be good making the switch from dirt to street. I did the same and it wasn't bad at all..Just less turning and more leaning.
As for the jacket, SHIFT should be a good one. I got a textile Alpinstars jacket and I love it. I do plan on buying a leather jacket for days when I ride a bit harder.
If you get a chance you should go vote for my bike in the April Ride of the Month poll. I would really appreciate it. Good having you the forum, you will find a lot of useful information here.

Sweet looking bike! I agree with "Gotcbr" take the MSF course. It teaches a lot of little things and techniques that are hella useful. As far as Shift jackets, I got one and love it. Wrecked in it once, it def saved my skin, literally lol. Just make sure whatever you get you have back protection.
