Whats up
Hey, I am new to the forum and just got my permit a couple weeks ago. Just bought a 1998 CBR600 F3. Only thing is that the bike for some reason wont start. When i got the bike it started right up but was out of gas just about because guy i got it from left me well... on empty. Now its just turning and tries to start a few times but wont kick over... after posting this i will search the forum n hopefully figure it out. Taking it to a friends tomorrow that has had a bike for quite a while to have him help me get it running. Hope you guys are like the forum for 3000GT's and Dodge Stealths because im on there all the time with my car (Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4). Here are some pics of the bike sorry for the bad quality they pics from my phone...

Hey there Eric, that's a beautiful bike you got there with nice aftermarkets. That paint is killer. Right off the bat, I'd say check the petcock, and are you using the choke? This being your first bike, I strongly suggest wearing all the gear you have & take it easy. Some frame slidders are in order as well, you don't want to scratch those nice fairings.

thank you. yea i plan on wearing all my gear... just got gloves helmet and jacket yesterday. and yea i intend on doing quite a bit with the bike as money allows me
but ill def check the petcock and ill let you all know whats going on... gonna do plugs and clean the carb tomorrow also... my hours at work suck so im limited as to how often i can do stuff.
**edit** Petcock was / is in the On Position

Welcome to the site...glad to have you here
F3 looks in great shape, luv the color
I wonder if you might have had something in the bottom of the fuel tank and it got stuck in the filter when you ran it out of gas.
