Default Wassup from HI

Howzit everyone!! I just bought me a 2004 CBR 1000RR. I never did ride a sport bike of anykind or owned any bike. Everyone at the dealership and my friends thought I was crazy for just getting the 1000. I have been riding about 1 month now and thank god I didn't lay it down yet. I cannot compare it to any other bikes but I know this bike is really easy to ride and handle. I think this is one awsome machine!! I have the all black model and I want to know if there are pictures out there of some tricked out bikes. Any way I will be taking some classes on riding so I can push this bike. Hey no sense in buying this bike if I not going all out.

Aloha

You should have some decent twisties to ride as well as all year good weather. You lucky bee-yatch [8D] Enjoy the toy but keep in mind that a 1000cc motor will write checks your skills can't cash. Sux to see a pretty bike wrapped around a tree.

see ya,

Aloha,
I lived out in Hawaii myself for about 3 years. It's definatly a sportbike heaven out there. You picked a wicked bike to start out on. Chain is right. A 1000CC just flat out wants to kill the rider. You have to tame it. Even as nice as it is, make sure you wear gear. Definatly sign up for a local MSF class as soon as you can. Also pick up a few good books on riding. I wouldn't do too much to the bike. Just learn to ride and handle it. Give it a year or so, then worry about modifying it. Welcome to the addiction.
