What am I doing wrong?

My boss asked me to get him in touch with the appropriate person at this forum to discuss a sponsorship concept we have, which should generate a lot of money for the forum, but no one has responded. When he asks me what’s up with it, I don’t know what to tell him. All I want to do is be in contact with someone by email or phone to talk about it.
