Here is my story...

I purchased a 1977 Harley - Not running - Last year, early in the riding season. I rode her hard for the entire season. I started blowing smoke and oil out of the rear cylinder and was going to rebuild her my self.

I got the engine out and was totally intimidated so I sent it out to a guy. He took it completely apart and was gonna charge me $3000.00 to rebuild. I couldn’t afford it so I picked up my parts and it sat in the garage for the winter.

 

I found a guy on CR that wanted an older Harley and we traded my 77 Ironhead and a small MIG Welder for his running 88 CBR1000F Hurricane.

 

This is my 2nd bike and my 2nd season riding - I’m still pretty new at this.
I picked it up yesterday in Toledo, Oh and rode it home (140mi) with no issues. The rear breaks could be looked at and my Right hand kept going numb but other than that it was a great ride.

 

Welcome to the dark side ...

Don't worry bout the rear brakes. As a rule most sportbike rear binders are wusses. If it'll lock up that's all ya need.
