You are so on the Money with the White Knucker lol... still learning the throttle response, I scared myself a couple of times launching from 1st from a dead stop or just up shifting to 2nd, when I realized I have been shifting Way to early and I get this sudden jolt that rocks me back.. had to change my drawers a couple of times lol...
As for the throttle make sure to use a "wrist down" position. Lessens the chance of over throttling her. If you haven't taken an MSF class I highly suggest you look into it. Great for the basic skills you need to not kill yourself and they have some really great tips / insights.
